Billowing without,
on border lands eclipsed,
eyes taking hold,
diving at the blazing flame:
gold sigh, warm heart,
his flesh-held bones
strong to break the fall,
waiting to catch she
in room
on concrete rigid sat,
beneath a filament
fizzling
to the power of one,
strained bone posture,
eyes running backwards.
Waiting, always, to be let in,
waiting to carry her
– love blind –
from filament to fire.
